SmartZone is priced according to the reading speed required, and the number of runtimes installed. Before purchasing a development kit, determine the required recognition speed. The only difference between the two editions is the speed of recognition. Low-volume applications (approximately 1-2 pages per minute) may only require SmartZone Standard, while higher volume applications will benefit from SmartZone Professional. Runtime Licensing

This product requires deployment licensing. There are 3 categories of licensing.

You are installing Pegasus code on client systems.
You are installing Pegasus code on server systems.
You are installing Pegasus code on systems that generate ongoing revenue.

Based on the number of runtimes or server deployments anticipated, a license purchase may be made online or you may sign up as a reseller or OEM by contacting Pegasus Imaging. When more than one Pegasus component is involved in the same installation, such as SmartZone used with SmartScan Xpress Barcode, and/or FormFix, the full price will be charged only on the highest cost runtimes, and additional runtime fees are 33% of list retail price.
